Yael Chaver, Ph.D.

Yael Chaver has been an educator and writer in Israel and Berkeley. She earned her Ph.D. in Yiddish at UC Berkeley, where she currently teaches Yiddish language and literature and is the author of What Must Be Forgotten: The Survival of Yiddish in Zionist Palestine.

Together, we will read Yiddish stories and literature. This class is for students with some ability to read Yiddish literature in the original. We will read Yiddish classics, old and new.
