The Throne of God: Prostration as a Jewish Practice (Winter 2021)
This series will focus on the prayer practice of prostrations to connect with the Throne of God. We will study texts from the Bible to the Talmud and Jewish mystical texts including Kabbalah, to understand how prostration was used as a prayer practice. Through this mystical embodied prayer practice, we will see how it can connect us to a larger cosmological understanding of God. All are welcome, no previous experience or background necessary.
