You can become involved with HAMAQOM | The Place in several ways: Explore and register for our variety of programs and courses. Participate in our growing network of small groups engaged with ritual and learning. Travel with us.
We’d love to set up some time to talk to you about your interests and passions for creating Jewish community. Be in touch!
Why the “Q”?
We like Qs. We like that Q is the first letter of the word “Question.” For that matter, we also like that A is in the middle of the word “Place.” We’re all about Questions and Answers. Q is also the proper English letter with which to transliterate the Hebrew letter quf (ק), as in the words, Qiddush and Qabbalat Shabbat.
Does HAMAQOM | The Place charge membership fees?
No, there is no membership fee at HAMAQOM | The Place. We do charge registration fees for participation in courses, Talmud Circles, and Kevah groups. As a nonprofit, we rely on tuition to help cover the direct cost of our course offerings. We also offer a tiered pricing structure to ensure that cost is not a barrier to participation. Please evaluate your own ability to pay and select the option that makes it possible for you to participate.
To inquire about pricing or scholarships, please email us at info@hmqm.org.
How do I register for classes, Talmud Circles, or Kevah groups?
You can visit the course catalog on our website for links to sign up for classes, text circles, and events. For interest in Kevah groups, please contact Tamar Zaken at tamar@hmqm.org.
